RESERVATION
Your room reservation is only confirmed after you receive our confirmation. Please note: the confirmation email often ends up in the SPAM folder. Haven’t received a reservation? Please contact us.

CHECK-IN
Check-in is available from 1:00 PM.
Guests often arrive earlier to store their luggage. This is not a problem. If the room is already prepared, we will let you know. Are you arriving in the evening? Please let us know.

ARRIVAL TIME NOTIFICATION
To personally welcome our guests as much as possible, we would like to know in advance which ferry you’re taking.

CHECK-OUT
Please return the room key before 11:00 AM.
Of course, you can leave your luggage with us for the entire day.

PAYMENT
You can easily pay for the room(s) in advance via the online link in the confirmation email or upon arrival at reception.
Cash or debit card. We do not accept credit cards.

LANGUAGES
We welcome you in Amelands dialect (Boudewijn) or in Frisian (Catharina).
We also speak Dutch, German, and English.

BREAKFAST AT PENSION BAKEMA
We serve our fresh, Ameland breakfast from 8:00 – 10:30 AM in our breakfast area.
Leaving earlier than breakfast time? No problem! If you let us know a day in advance, we’ll gladly prepare a breakfast package for you to take along.

E-BIKE CHARGING
E-bikes can be charged outside. There are several charging points at the bike racks.
We strongly request that you do not take chargers to the rooms due to fire hazard.

PARKING
We advise our guests not to bring a car to Ameland. Ameland is a true cycling and walking island with short distances. Bike rental is well-organized at the ferry terminal, and bike rental companies can deliver your luggage to your hotel. If you do bring a car, we ask you to park it in the public parking area in Nes (a few minutes’ walk away).

PETS
Due to the small scale of our guesthouse, pets are not allowed.
TIP: Near our guesthouse, there’s a small bungalow park, Nesserduinen, where dogs are allowed. The bungalows are located at the edge of the Kweekbos, which is partly an off-leash area for dogs.

EXTRA BEDS
Due to the small scale of our guesthouse and the peace and space we want to offer our guests, it is not possible to place/bring extra beds or child/baby cots. Our rooms are exclusively suitable for 2 people.
